It sounds excellent as usual right out of the box. It’s been few months since my last purchase. What surprised me is the improvement that you Mad Scientist family made to the cable. The UK plug is now very secured with additional part inside. Furthermore the graphene contact enhancer at the fuse contacts is a nice touch (because I use SR Orange fuse so have to open). Really appreciate your efforts.

I put the cable on the pre-amplifier as I read again Christiaan’s review with his tests on Audio GD.And, yes ! He is just right.The sound doesn’t seem to be tight or gathered anymore, bass sound became very precise and quite full. This cable seems to fit perfectly with the pre-amplifier from Audio GD.

The moment I swapped your cable in and turned the album on again, I was startled. I instantly found the violin music much sweeter, more accurate, more alive. The difference was not subtle.

When I returned from my chore, I did a number of A-B comparisons. It seems clear your cable is removing some kind of muddying effect that I was unaware was present. One extreme example was on a recording of Diana Krall, where she was backed by an orchestra. While her voice quality was excellent, coming through my old cable, the orchestra sounded a bit like music played through an old radio—artificial and two-dimensional. When I swapped in the Black Magic cable, suddenly the massed strings sounded like an actual orchestra, although diminished in volume, and the orchestra changed from sound to music. Astonishing.

I connected the Ultra and played a few songs from my hard drive. Immediately I was blown away by how much better it was than the Curious cable, in every respect. It sounded clearer, detail was much better as was ambience, smoothness, separation of instruments, size of soundstage and how the sound flowed from my speakers. It was not subtle. I would not have thought a usb cable could have made such a big difference. Your cable wasn’t inexpensive but feel that my purchase was good value. Will look more closely at your other cables.

I am listening to some music right now and I must say I am quite impressed by the increased “depth” of the sound stage — I do not know about burn-in time but I already quite enjoy what I am listening — I may order an analogue cable later on.

I would LOVE to be one of the first to hear your speaker cables when possible. Oh and your network cable outdid the $2100 example suggested for my new Goldmund DAC/amp- made by the same company and 4 times the price of yours and not as good.
