In 2021 we released our original Black Magic Speaker Cables, which were very well received for their unique design features and construction techniques.
We are now pleased to introduce our new White Magic Speaker Cable range.
At first, we thought the technical challenges of building a speaker cable with our White Magic wire might make the project impossible. But after a long development process, we finally did it.
The new White Magic speaker cables use many of the design ideas first developed for Black Magic, including our “bad antenna” screening concept and carefully controlled cable symmetries.
But this time, instead of copper conductors, the signal path is made from White Magic wire. Click here for more information on White Magic wire.
The result is a cable that improves on the original Black Magic design, while also being more affordable and more flexible.
We offer two versions: Regular and Ultra.
Black Magic Speaker Cables
White Magic Regular
White Magic Regular speaker cable uses 8 strands of White Magic wire per conductor, arranged inside a Teflon tube.
These cables outperform our previous Black Magic speaker cables by a handy margin. In general, White Magic cables are less colored, more dynamic and have better bass than copper cables.

White Magic Ultra
White Magic Ultra also uses 8 strands of White Magic wire per conductor, but each individual strand is placed inside its own tiny Teflon tube. This gives a construction similar in principle to Litz wire, with each strand separately insulated.
Ultra also uses a more advanced version of our “bad antenna” screening system, designed to reduce RF noise — both noise picked up by the cable, and noise radiated from it.
White Magic Ultra improves on the regular cable, being more dynamic, textured and with expanded soundstage, both wider and deeper.

Cable Options
Both Regular and Ultra are available in three configurations:
Standard — A standard pair of speaker cables.
Shotgun — Similar to two regular cables combined, with double the number of White Magic conductors. For high power systems or for those seeking the very best performance.
Bi-Wire —Two cable runs (like Shotgun) terminated with a single pair of connectors at the amplifier end, and two pairs of connectors at the speaker end.
Termination Options
You can specify banana plugs or spades at either end of the cable.
How do they sound?
The first thing you notice with White Magic speaker cables is the clarity. Not a forced, etched kind of clarity, but the feeling that a layer of haze has been removed from the system.
Compared with conventional copper cables, the sound is cleaner, faster and more open, but without becoming thin or analytical. Music has more space around it, and individual instruments and voices are easier to follow. Complex passages stay organised, instead of blurring together.
There is also a sense of scale and ease. Dynamics feel larger and more natural, from tiny details and textures through to big musical swings. Bass is powerful and controlled, while the midrange has a very natural tone and the treble is extended without glare.
What surprised us most was how musical they are. The White Magic cables are very revealing, but they do not push the sound at you. They let the system breathe, with a wide and deep soundstage, strong imaging, and a relaxed sense of flow.
The result is a speaker cable that sounds clear, powerful and delicate at the same time. More information comes through, but the presentation is also more coherent and enjoyable. They make music sound less like hi-fi, and more like music.

You can order with either spades or banana plugs. Both are copper. Please specify what type of connection you like on each end (so you can have spades on one end, bananas on the other, but you need to specify which end is the amplifier end as the cables are directional).
As these cables are made-to-order it can take several days to build and test a set of cables. When you order we will give you an estimate of how long they will take to build.

White Magic Jumpers
We also have speaker jumpers available. Uses the same White Magic wire as the speaker cables, and is hand-made so that half the strands run one direction, half the other (so they are not directional). This is the same technique used on the speaker cables..
You can order with spades or bananas, or a mix.
